Reduce image size without losing quality
Photos from phones and cameras often weigh 3 to 10 MB, too much to send by email, upload to a website or attach to an online form. This tool compresses JPG, PNG and WEBP images while keeping the same format and quality that looks identical to the eye. Need a specific size, like under 100 KB or 200 KB for an application form? Choose "Max file size" and it finds the best quality that fits automatically.
How to compress an image
- 1
Drag your JPG, PNG or WEBP images into the box or tap "Choose files". Up to 20 at once.
- 2
Pick the quality, or choose a max file size such as 100 KB. Reducing the dimensions to 1920 px saves the most space.
- 3
Download each compressed image or all of them in a ZIP file.
Questions about image compression
How do I compress an image to 100 KB?
Choose "Max file size" and select 100 KB. The tool tries different quality levels and, if needed, reduces the dimensions until the image weighs less than 100 KB.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression happens entirely in your browser: your images never leave your device.
Can I compress PNG without losing transparency?
Yes. PNG images are compressed by reducing the color palette, the same technique used by TinyPNG, and the transparency is preserved.
Why does it say "Already optimized"?
It means the image can't get any lighter at that setting without making it worse. Try a lower quality or smaller dimensions.
